Uros + Amantani + Taquile 2 Days Sail 2 days with this Uros, Amantaní and Taquile Islands tour, in which you will learn more about the culture of the peoples that inhabit Lake Titicaca. Itinerary: Day 1: Puno – Isla de Uros – Amantaní. We will pick you up at your hotel to go to the main port of the city of Puno, embark and start a navigation through Lake Titicaca. Our first stop will be an island of Uros, a culture of more than 3000 years that builds its houses in the middle of the lake, thanks to the use of reeds. We will know how they build their homes and more information about their way of life. If there is time, we can do a reed raft navigation, after which we will continue our trip to Amantaní Island, where some of its inhabitants will receive us and accompany us for lunch made with local products. During the afternoon, we will be able to walk to the top of the island, which is at an altitude of 4130 m, from where there is an unbeatable sunset perspective over Lake Titicaca. Then, we will return to our assigned place of accommodation in a local homestay. Day 2: Amantaní – Taquile – Puno. We will get up early to have breakfast and say goodbye to Amantaní, to leave for the island of Taquile, which in colonial times was used as a prison. In that place we will be able to share with the inhabitants, who will present us their textile crafts. Also, we can tour part of the island, visiting some non-tourist areas where there are temples, tombs and terraces from the pre-Inca era. As we move forward, our guide will explain to us the traditional ways of farming and some ancient customs that remain to this day. Then, we will go down to the port to take our boat and start the return trip to Puno. Included: We pick you up at the hotel (urban area), Bilingual guide, Entrance to the islands, Accommodation with a local family (without shower), Lunch in Amantaní.
